WordPress as an issue tracking system – Part 1 – First thoughts

Recently I have been looking for an issue tracking system for our project.
I will write later about all the criteria I used, but I just had a thought using the WordPress.

Yes, it does sounds strange to use a blog platform for ticket management, but on the other hand it might be a great solution for a small size project (< 5 developers).
The problem which I already had to deal with is hot to learn from all the bugs/tasks list, and improve the development process as we go on. With WordPress it became really easy to tag, search and learn from from this huge database.

Follow me to part 2 where we will setup the the WordPress as an issue tracking system

  1. This plugin would transform any of your posts into an issue tracking system of its own. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-issuetracker/

I hope it comes in handy.
